Discover one of the most complete and popular experiences in Costa Rica, combining culture, spectacular landscapes, volcanoes and relaxation in the famous hot springs of La Fortuna.
Our adventure begins heading to the northern region of the country, crossing some of the most beautiful rural landscapes in Costa Rica. During the journey we will make a stop in the picturesque town of Sarchí, recognized as the cradle of Costa Rican crafts.
Here you will have the opportunity to visit artisan workshops and shops where you can find a wide variety of souvenirs, carved wooden items, traditional art, gourmet coffee and typical products made by local artisans. We will also visit the city’s central park to admire the famous largest typical oxcart in the world, an impressive work of art built in cedar wood and decorated with the traditional multicolored designs that have made Costa Rican oxcarts a national symbol. This extraordinary piece was recognized by the Guinness Book of Records and represents a fundamental part of the country’s agricultural and cultural history.
We will continue our tour passing through lush tropical forests, extensive coffee plantations, pineapple, ornamental plants and livestock farms, while enjoying impressive views of mountains and valleys that characterize the northern region of Costa Rica.
Upon arriving in La Fortuna, we will enjoy a delicious lunch in a cozy restaurant with spectacular views of the majestic Arenal Volcano, considered one of the most important natural icons in the country.
With a height of 1,670 meters above sea level and its characteristic conical shape, the Arenal Volcano dominates the landscape of the region. After remaining dormant for centuries, it surprised the world with a major eruption on July 29, 1968, beginning a period of intense volcanic activity that made it one of the most famous and visited volcanoes on the planet. Currently, although its activity has decreased considerably, it continues to be one of the most impressive natural wonders of Costa Rica.
Later we will visit a strategic viewpoint located near the base of the volcano, from where we can enjoy extraordinary views of the Arenal Volcano and the beautiful Arenal Lagoon, the largest lake in Costa Rica and one of the main sources of hydroelectric energy in the country.
The experience continues with one of the most anticipated moments of the day: a visit to the famous Baldi Hot Springs. This renowned thermal complex offers an ideal environment to relax and enjoy the natural properties of its mineral waters, surrounded by lush tropical gardens and with privileged views of the volcano.
Baldi’s facilities have 25 thermal pools of different sizes and temperatures, naturally fed by underground sources heated by the geothermal activity of the region. Its mineral waters, certified by the National Water Laboratory, reach temperatures ranging between 33°C and 66°C, allowing each visitor to find the perfect environment to rest and rejuvenate.
In addition, those who wish to complement the experience can opt for massages and spa treatments available upon prior reservation and at an additional cost.
To culminate this wonderful day, we will enjoy an exquisite dinner while we once again contemplate the silhouette of the Arenal Volcano and the impressive landscapes of the region.
An unforgettable experience that combines culture, nature, adventure and relaxation in one of the most emblematic destinations in Costa Rica.
