Our first stop will be in the picturesque town of Sarchí, recognized as the cradle of Costa Rican crafts. Here you can admire the famous largest oxcart in the world, an impressive work of art made of cedar wood and decorated with the vibrant colors and traditional designs that have made typical oxcarts a national symbol of Costa Rica. This extraordinary structure, two levels high, required more than 70 days of craftsmanship and has been recognized in the Guinness Book of Records.
We will continue our tour through the fertile landscapes of the northern region of the country, where you can observe extensive agricultural plantations, including pineapple, mango, ornamental plants and livestock farms, while enjoying beautiful views of the Costa Rican mountains and valleys.
During the journey we will make a stop to enjoy a delicious lunch in a cozy restaurant with a privileged view of the majestic Arenal Volcano, considered one of the most impressive natural icons of Costa Rica.
With a height of 1,670 meters above sea level, the Arenal Volcano dominates the landscape of La Fortuna with its perfect conical shape. After its historic eruption in 1968, it became one of the most famous volcanoes in the world and today continues to be one of the country’s main tourist attractions. Its imposing presence, surrounded by lush tropical forests, offers unique opportunities for photography and nature observation.
The adventure continues with a relaxation experience in the exclusive Ecotermales hot springs, considered one of the hidden gems of the Arenal region. This natural oasis offers an intimate and tranquil environment, where hot springs spring naturally from the depths of the earth, without artificial intervention.
Ecotermales has six pools of different temperatures, ranging between 37°C and 41°C (99°F to 106°F), as well as a fresh water pool and a small natural waterfall. Surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, these mineral-rich waters offer a revitalizing experience ideal for relaxing body and mind.
