Description:

Enjoy a fascinating combination of coffee culture, volcanic landscapes and nature in a perfect experience for those who want to see two of the most representative icons of Costa Rica in a single morning.

As you leave San José, you will be able to appreciate the contrast between the dynamic urban life and the tranquility of the Costa Rican countryside. During the tour we will cross fertile agricultural lands where coffee plantations predominate, as well as plantations of ferns, ornamental flowers, strawberries and dairy farms that characterize this beautiful region of the Central Valley.

Our first stop will be at the historic Doka Estate Coffee Mill, one of the most recognized and traditional coffee plantations in Costa Rica. Here we will enjoy a delicious typical Costa Rican breakfast before starting a complete tour of the farm.

During the Coffee Tour you will learn first-hand about the entire production process, from the cultivation and harvesting of the grain to its processing and roasting. You will learn about the traditional techniques used by generations of producers to make some of the finest and most renowned coffees in the world. In addition, you will be able to discover the historical and economic importance of coffee in the development of Costa Rica.

Later we will continue to the impressive Poás Volcano National Park, home to one of the largest active craters in the world. During the ascent, you will enjoy spectacular panoramic views and changes in vegetation that reflect the ecological richness of the region.

Upon reaching the volcano, you will have the opportunity to admire the impressive main crater, famous for its fumaroles and geothermal activity. In addition, you can walk the trails enabled within the park while learning about the volcanic formation of the area and the diverse ecosystems that make the Poás Volcano one of the most visited and emblematic national parks in Costa Rica.

Thanks to its convenient schedule, this tour is ideal for passengers with scheduled flights or for those who have little time and want to make the most of their stay in the country.
