A relaxing cultural tour where you will learn about our history and traditions. We will visit important historical and cultural sites in our country and also have the opportunity to see beautiful plants.
Our first stop will be at the majestic Basilica of Our Lady of the Angels, one of the most important and visited religious sites in Costa Rica. This emblematic sanctuary welcomes millions of pilgrims every year who come from different parts of the country and abroad to pay tribute to the patron saint of Costa Rica. Its impressive architecture combines Byzantine and neo-Gothic elements, highlighting its wide vaulted ceilings, beautiful stained glass windows and a valuable collection of sculptures, religious images and works of art that reflect the deep spiritual tradition of the Costa Rican people.
Later we will visit the renowned Lankester Gardens, a prestigious botanical research center managed by the University of Costa Rica. This extraordinary garden is home to one of the most important orchid collections in America, with more than 800 species, as well as bromeliads, cacti, heliconias and a great diversity of tropical plants. During the tour you will be able to admire the incredible botanical wealth of the country while learning about the conservation and study of these fascinating species.
We will continue our trip to the charming Orosi Valley, considered one of the most beautiful and picturesque landscapes in Costa Rica. Surrounded by mountains, rivers and lush vegetation, this fertile valley offers spectacular views and an atmosphere of incomparable tranquility.
Here we will visit one of the few colonial churches that are still preserved in the country, an important historical legacy that dates back to the Spanish colonial period and which constitutes one of the most valuable architectural treasures in the region.
To complete this cultural and natural experience, we will enjoy a delicious typical Costa Rican lunch at a local restaurant, where you can taste the authentic flavors of traditional gastronomy while contemplating the beautiful landscapes of the Orosi Valley.
